THE WAYS OF LIFE THAT IS SIMPLE BUT DIFFICULT TO ACCEPT

The ancient writings across religion say that what you are today is on account of what you did in your previous birth. It is Karma for some . it is a generally accepted principle of Indian life. We easily blame fate for all our ills shortcomings and sufferings and seldom thank the stars or god or the deeds of previous birth for all our good fortunes.
I had an elder with whom i used to argue and seldom accepted the sayings without an argument. On Karma also i used to argue for that he gave quite a few example.

If you build your body in your young age you will have good posture and carriage all through your life
If you study well and work hard you will be materially successful in life
if you plan and execute well you will have few failures.
Be in time and you will never miss the train
These are the fruits of your efforts which are material , palpable and happen only when you do something prior to what you want to happen
Like wise you do good things you will get the fruits in this birth itself and you need not wait for the next birth
Well i was really sceptical.
Why one eventhough god believing and praying suffer through out the life. The adult life ,marriage and children become hell and one is financially weak also
is this the deed of the previous birth the Karma
when i am so poor and rotting in this shit life how can i think of good things ,do good deeds help others and think of god and thank him
if i don't do this this will be my KARMA OF THIS janam and i will be born again and suffer even more, why is this
who will come along and take me to the path of belief and at the same time give strength to face the current situation and prepare for the next janmam or rebirth
well i believe there is god and he has a very tight schedule. He prioritise and has a scale of devotion.
he takes care of those selfless people who had dedicated everything to him
then he thinks of the next who religiously follow the ways of god and live
next he takes care of those who do some good to others without expecting anything
Finally he comes down to the ones who just go through the motion of life like getting up,eating working praying without their heart and mind in any of these actions
Can i blame him for that. then how will we differentiate between the fortunate and the less fortunate
i am still searching within me and outside for an answer
